VHO set out to answer that with “Breaking the Sound Barrier: Deaf Opera Workshop” (2020), bringing together Deaf actors & opera singers in scenes from Poulenc’s Dialogues of the Carmelites. We discovered that you can sing in ASL, and you don’t have to hear to be a great musician.
