Rising star tenor Victor Ryan Robertson performs this Season in Il Barbiere di Siviglia with Sarasota Opera, and stars in Champion with Opéra de Montréal, a role he premiered and has also sung with the Opera Theatre of St. Louis and Opera Parallele. He recently made his début at The Metropolitan Opera in The Merry Widow. Another signature role is Sportin’ Life in Porgy and Bess, a role he has performed with the L.A. Opera, Syracuse Opera, Dallas Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin, throughout Australia, in London, Edinburgh, and Cardiff with the Cape Town Opera, and at Spoleto Festival USA. Mr. Robertson first earned critical acclaim as Rodolfo in Baz Luhrman’s adaptation of La Bohème, a role he has also sung at the Royal Albert Hall in London in Francesca Zambello’s production. Victor has also performed with Opera Hong Kong, Minnesota Opera, Arizona Opera, Dallas Opera, Atlanta Opera, Opéra National de Lorraine, and New York City Opera, among many others.
